OTZ Science Writer

As a science writer, David specializes in crafting print and multimedia pieces that showcase the story of the OTZ team's research. Before joining WHOI's staff, he spent a decade as a freelancer, with work appearing on All Things Considered, Living on Earth, Smithsonian.com, and Knowable Magazine. Along the way, he earned journalism fellowships from WHOI, the National Center for Atmospheric Research, Carnegie Mellon University, and the Marine Biological Laboratory. He has a music degree, and is not afraid to use it.
