OTZ scientists have arrived at Station B, a new research station in Bermuda meant for rapid ocean technology development, which was founded by WHOI/MIT Oceanographer Allan Adams. The team will be testing Mesobot here for the next few weeks, transporting it just offshore to deep water aboard the R/V Catapult, a 35-foot catamaran that was recently transported here from Cape Cod. Once over the twilight zone, they will conduct a series of dives into the depths to gain insight into the lives of the animals that live there—especially ones that make the daily nightly migration from the depths to the surface.

Check back here for more updates as the mission progresses!
