Public Awareness

From our project’s inception, we’ve taken an unprecedented approach to studying the deep ocean. Creating scientific knowledge is a core part of our mission, but communication with the public is also a major goal. In fact, one third of all our project’s funds are earmarked for public engagement and education, so we can make future generations aware of the twilight zone’s importance to the health of our planet. Ultimately, our goal is to only do science, but to translate it for a lay audience, so everyone can help explore and protect the zone alongside us.
